Concrete Wall Tie Beam Repair

The walls below were contracted to receive a complete stucco finish but some of the wall corners had settled and the tie beams had cracked. Then years of exposure to the weather made it worse.

A small, simple, concrete wall repair can be done right without being overly complicated or expensive. The repair illustrated below will be hidden by the stucco job… but it is meant to last!

The exposed rebar was rusted due to long-term exposure to the environment. Our new repair includes the addition of new rebar and rust treatment of the existing rebar – mechanical rust removal and chemical treatment (hence the black appearance). After an application of bonding agent, 4000 psi concrete was poured into the form. After the concrete repair, the walls received a stucco finish and the repair disappears – without concerns, it becomes out of sight and out of mind.
